Por fora, o novo ASX incorpora grade frontal com desenho reformulado e para-choque totalmente redesenhado, com inspirações claras vindas do irmão maior Outlander. As laterais ganharam rodas com layout inédito e molduras nas caixas de roda, enquanto a traseira traz apenas novos logotipos.

Na cabine, a Mitsubishi confirma que aprimorou a qualidade do acabamento, adicionou um novo sistema de som, novos revestimentos para os bancos, painel em dois tons, quadro de instrumentos remodelado, novo sistema de rebatimentos dos bancos, entre outros. Sob o capô, o motor é o mesmo 2.4 de 170 cavalos que vem ligado sempre a uma transmissão do tipo CVT.
